Parsa Wireless Communications was contracted to perform industry research on Lower MAC aspects of 802.16m.

Parsa Wireless Communications surveyed the basic system design attributes of WiMAX, LTE and UMB. The survey included power control methods, initial Random Access, Ranging Channel and Multiple Access methods.

Parsa Wireless Communications identified the weaknesses associated with open loop and closed loop power control operation in the current WiMAX system and then proposed several novel enhancements to both open loop and closed loop power control.

Parsa Wireless Communication’s knowledge and expertise in wireless system’s air interfaces such as UMTS, HSPA, LTE, EVDO and WiMAX was quite instrumental in delivering the work product which was innovation in the above mentioned areas effectively and in a timely manner.
